6 Surfaces for the Perfect Long-Throw Setup

Long-throw projector screens are designed for projectors mounted 3–6 metres or more from the screen — the traditional setup for dedicated home cinemas, media rooms, and commercial installations. At longer throw distances, the projector beam arrives at a steep angle from the front of the room, making flat-gain surfaces like matte white an excellent reference choice, while angular-reflective ALR surfaces deliver significant ambient light rejection without optical compromise.

TrueThrow long-throw screens span six fixed-frame surfaces: Matte White (MW) for reference-accurate imaging in controlled environments; High-Contrast Grey (HCG) for deeper blacks in rooms that retain some ambient light; Grey Crystal ALR and Black Crystal ALR for significant ambient light rejection; Lenticular CLR for ceiling-light-dominant bright rooms; and Woven Acoustic (WAT) for behind-screen speaker installations in dedicated cinema rooms.
