The TrueThrow High-Contrast Grey (HCG) at 0.95 gain balances elevated contrast with maintained brightness — the right choice for rooms that cannot achieve complete blackout but where directional ALR is not required.

Unlike angular-reflective ALR screens, the High-Contrast Grey operates on a straightforward optical principle: its darker fabric absorbs more ambient light than a white surface, reducing the ambient light that competes with the projected image. This makes it effective with both overhead and side lighting without the angular constraints of a directional ALR fabric, and without the gain reduction of a high-rejection ALR surface.
